We’d first like to thank Carol and Ted Stout for hosting the January meeting at their house.  They have generously offered to have the February meeting again at their home (it was voted by members to have monthly meetings except in December) but, “Old Man Winter” has not been very kind to us in the Mid-West.  With the weather so unpredictable it was decided to cancel the February meeting.  We will meet in March tentatively at Joe and Joan Fry’s home.  (They would be really smart to stay in Florida!)  We will have definite plans in the March Newsletter.  Again, thank you Ted and Carol.

Paper and pencils were passed around at the January meeting to members to list any new ideas they may have.  Improvements for:  the July Show, the new clubhouse, Christmas in the Village, History Day, Newsletter…(fire Anne Bodine), etc.  If you missed the meeting and would like to “voice your opinion” please send them to:  Ted Stout, 8525 W. 700 S., West Point, In. 47992.  You may or may not sign your name.  All suggestions will be considered and discussed.

Wayburn Norfleet passed away January 24, 2014 after an extended illness.  Wayburn put many miles on his tractor pulling the “people mover” around the show grounds during History Day and during the Show.  He always had a big smile on his face and was always willing to help where help was needed.  We will all miss him.  Our sympathy to the Norfleet Families.

At the last meeting, Bob and Kaaren Parsell passed around (and modeled) the new Polo shirts that will be available this year.  They are Royal Blue with the Illiana Logo in sizes: S – M – L – XL – XXL – XXXL.  Cost is $25.00/each and will be pre-paid orders only. (All proceeds go back to the club.)  Regular T-shirts will be available for sale before and during the show. The new T-shirts will not have a date stamped on them so that any not sold this year can be carried over to next year.  The cost of the T-shirts has not been established.  Send check and orders to:  Bob Parsell, 1419 Newsom Drive, Lafayette, In. 47909.  Or call, 765-250-3449 for more information.
