ILLIANA NEWS

JANUARY 2014

MEETING:

A BIG THANKS to Ted and Carol Stout for hosting the November meeting at their home.  They have offered to have a January meeting again at their home this month.  So, the Illiana Antique Power Assoc. will meet at the Stout’s on January 20, 2014 at 6:30 P.M.  A carry-in dinner is planned, as usual, so please bring a dish to pass.  Their address is:  8525 W. 700 S., West Point, In.  Bob Parsell will have a sample T-shirt at the meeting.  It will have an embroidered lettering design.  Club members can decide if they want him to order this type of T-shirt for the show.  Remember he also needs some idea about what sizes to order.  So, if you plan to purchase a shirt, let him know the sizes you would need.  If you cannot attend the meeting you can E-mail him at: kaajvog@yahoo.com or phone: 765-250-3449.

Our regular newsletter will return in March with all the news from the various groups within our club.  But, a special thanks to Carol Stout and Donna Starry for providing the dinner on Saturday afternoon during our Christmas in the Village event.  And a “thank you” to Kaaren and Bob Parsell and Christy Bodine for preparing and setting up the dinner since Carol and Donna were unable to be there to enjoy it with everyone.

Ed Grubb purchased the Grape Press at Kenny Evans’ sale and returned it back to the clubhouse.  We “passed the hat” at the November meeting to help Ed towards its purchase.  If you would like to donate a dollar or two send to:  Ed Grubb, 811 Short Court, Covington, In. 47932

A committee was formed at the November meeting to develop a plan for expanding the clubhouse.  Committee members are:  Annette Miller, Tonya Olin, Donna Starry, Ted Stout, Don Evans, Ed Grubb and Alan Stutler.  Suggestions for the clubhouse should be directed to any member of this group.

Wayburn Norfleet has been seriously ill for quite a while.  He is at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, 5165 McCarty Lane, Room 225, Lafayette, In. 47905.  Although Wayburn has been in an induced coma it would be nice to send a card to him so his family knows how much we care and send our prayers.
